bonus of reducing make ready time on press.
Laser cut upper stripping tools are the next step. Being completely matched
with the lower board not only eliminates setting of upper pins but reduces setup
time on the press. Scrap can be removed cleanly and quickly without damage to
the product. Carefully planning the layout and stripping knife locations can
result in reduction or even elimination of the need for a separate manual
stripping operation after die cutting.
Nick planning completes the system. When nick locations are planned in advance, the stripping set can be build to break those nicks and direct the scrap out through the tool. You can reduce the number of bottom pins. Scrap pieces too small for placement of a bottom pin can be stripped securely and at high speed. If requested, we can utilize some special design techniques and hardware to completely eliminate the need for bottom pins.

Strip Clip® Stripping System Eliminates Bottom Pins
The
new Strip Clip® stripping system completely eliminates bottom pins. With
a complete male and female stripping set utilizing the patented Strip Clip®
components, no bottom pins are needed. The advantages of this system are
immediately obvious. Stripping make-ready time is reduced to the time it
takes to install a male and female
stripping board in the press. The upper pins are replaced with the male
stripping board. The female stripping board includes the flexible
components which trap the scrap beneath the board. Bottom pin setting is
eliminated.
