What's New

Speedbars™ for Upper Blanking Tools:

Speedbars™ are a new product for use on Upper Blanking Tools.  They are surface mounted, spring-loaded presser bars which are fully assembled and easily mounted to the upper blanking board with only two screws each.  The benefits they offer are easier installation (and re-use!), reduction in storage space required and increased economy when compared to traditional presser bar systems.  Contact us if you would like some more information about this new product.

Water Jet Shape Cutting System:

Advanced Laser Dies is pleased to offer water jet shape cutting.   With our Flow Flying Bridge Shapewebwaterjet1.jpg (53472 bytes) Cutter, we can process material sheets up to 4' by 8'.  We can cut a wide variety of materials including rubber, plastics and metals up to 8" thick.  This technology can be useful to you in many ways. We can accurately shape cut just about any flat material.   We are regularly cutting aluminum, stainless steel, foam, sponge rubber, solid rubber and plastics.

If it can get wet, we can probably cut it!

In die cutting and die making, this means that ejection material can be custom cut for each tool, resulting in time savings, faster run speeds, more uniform ejection and lower tonnage requirements. Also, cutting plates, stacker plates, backing plates, strippers, blankers, jigs, and so on can be fabricated from steel, aluminum, or any type of plastic.

Production runs go on the shape cutter without tooling costs or press time. Think about how many times your customers want only a few hundred parts, and how expensive it is to make those parts. Why not let us cut those parts for you so you don't have to buy dies or press time for such short runs.

We can still provide you with our full line of dieboards, dies, counterplates, stripping sets and blanking tools, but why buy the tools until you absolutely need them? You can mail, fax or e-mail your drawings to us and we'll be glad to give you a quote. Better yet, if you have questions about how we can help you please feel free to contact us for more information.

Engineered Ejection for Increased Diecutting Productivity

One of the most important applications of our waterjet cutter is ejection material.  When we design and waterjet cut the ejection materials for a steel rule die, we call it "Engineered Ejection".  The reason for this is that each piece of ejection material is specifically designed for the knife it is supporting.  This uniform, planned ejection is far superior to hand-made ejection for several reasons.

The uniformity of the materials leads to a much faster make ready and faster running speeds without the sheet breaking up.  The reduced quantity of ejection material on the die lowers the tonnage requirements, which also contributes to faster make ready and faster press running speeds.  In addition, nicks are better supported, which means that the number and size of nicks can be reduced, which improves run speeds, especially in stripping, and improves the overall quality of the diecut.
